This project involved disciplines of industrial design and interior architecture. Morph is concerned with addressing the increasing prevalence micro urban housing schemes. By using a light-weight aluminium structure the uniform unit can morph from a stool, and interact with other units to culminate in a coffee table or bookshelf. Once hanging it requires no floor space and its double layer of perspex allows the user to place photos and textures into the structure so that it functions as a wall frame which echoes the wall colour and blends into its surroundings, or stands out on its own. The project aims to minimise waste through expanding the life of furniture pieces by making them easily upgradable components rather than an unnecessary “whole”.
